I have made the decision to leave Vlare due to it constantly pushing borderline-NSFW content from months ago in the Related Videos section of every video. I am vehemently against sex appeal, as it is solely done to seduce others into committing fornication or adultery, either physically or in the heart. It quite obviously cannot be for comfort, nor can it be for popularity (I and a few others have found success in clean humor that doesn't involve a shred of sex appeal). I view the practice and the intended destination act as completely void of morals, since it's completely prohibited and condemned by the Word and has lasting consequences even if you don't consider the Word.

I will still be on VidLii since its Related Videos list (while not much better in recommending actually related videos) isn't in your face as much and doesn't push borderline-NSFW content (as far as I know). If Vlare later decides to fix the Related Videos section (which is pretty much a Most Popular Videos section), I might return. But until then... goodbye, Vlare.

Hello. And maybe goodbye. This is SamJoe404.

I'm here to bring to light a huge problem Vlare has in recommending related videos when you're watching a video. Thing is, NONE of the videos are actually related, unless you're watching videos from the top channels (because they're literally all that show up in the Related Videos section). Made even worse is the fact that the thumbnails are egregiously vulgar. Seriously, they may as well just recommend NSFW content (because this content is borderline NSFW). And this is being pushed in ALL videos' Related Videos section – even those that are family-friendly. You'd be hard-pressed to actually find a video that's actually related to the video you're watching. Absolutely insane.

I might actually leave Vlare because of this. This is inexcusable that this has been a thing for so long, especially since VidLii actually has a working "Related Videos" section (albeit not perfect, it least it actually recommends some related videos some of the time). I would normally ignore this, but this is almost everywhere on the site. As such, Vlare is becoming much less of an alternative to YouTube and a lot more like a neo-Miiverse community of a game centered on sex appeal.

I will post another blog post if I do end up leaving Vlare.

Apparently (as of 2020-01-02) I have 38 videos publicly viewable on Vlare (as indicated by the video section of my channel). However, I counted the videos manually and found there was only 37 videos – one less than the reported number. It's probably not counting the scheduled video I have ready for 2020-01-03 (MSreas S4E8), as the video I had for today (MSreas S4E7) didn't count towards the video counter until it was published. This is a very weird glitch...

Although I do recall releasing a video on Vlare earlier than initially scheduled, directly setting the privacy option on "2020 || Microsoft Sam Quickies" from Scheduled to Public. This unfortunately gave it a publish date of 2019-12-31. However, when the original schedule time (2020-01-01, 2:00 AM) passed, the video's datestamp was suddenly chagned to 2020-01-01. It may have published itself again, adding to the video counter and changing the video's datestamp, while the original video itself remained in one piece (i.e. no duplicates were created to run alongside or supercede the original). This might be where the glitch is coming from.

I uploaded MSreas S4E1 a few minutes ago and shortly afterward noticed I used a NewBlueFX effect from Sony Movie Studio that had a watermark in VEGAS Pro, and didn't notice it until it was already uploaded – for around 20 minutes. If you saw the video and are wondering why it's gone, I deleted it. RN I'm re-rendering it without the effect (it didn't add much to the scene without the watermark), and it will be back up very soon (probably closer to midnight). Sorry for any inconvenience! Stay tuned!

UPDATE: The video has been reuploaded. The NewBlueFX watermark no longer appears at the scene at timestamp 7:29.

Hi I'm SamJoe404. I don't post here anymore because Vlare's Related Videos section constantly recommends borderline-NSFW content that was posted months ago and also which the Vlare administration refuses to even put in Adults Only mode (or whatever it's called).
