A quick little thing I whipped up in Olive, a GPL multiplatform video editor that's still in alpha but has a ton of potential. You can try it out for yourself here: https://olivevideoeditor.org/

Project Bigeye is a playthrough of Quake on 30 different computers greatly varying in their hardware configurations. Some are fast, some are slow, and others are the kinds that sound too outlandish for any normal retro build. One computer is used twice for software and OpenGL rendering to cover all 31 maps in Quake. This is not a speedrun or 100% playthrough, but an experiment in hardware demonstration that may or may not branch out to yet more things to come depending on what everyone thinks of the idea long-term.

I have no solid release date for Bigye, but am aiming for some time in August. I have to figure out how to use alternative programs I can run on Linux following some random event where the Adobe programs which I paid for broke themselves, followed by me being unable to reactivate them for the second time. DRM is objectively bad and should be abolished.

The background music is "Children of the Son", released by Pipe Choir under a CC-BY Attribution license. Get it here: https://freemusicarchive.org/music/Pipe_Choir/SGONS_1764/Pipe_Choir_Children_Of_The_Son
